Steve's Story: Photo Gallery
The "Duke and Darkness Years" showing a striking contrast between a sophomore class photo from the fall of 1968 and a passport photo from the summer of 1971 when I dropped out to go to Europe after a year of "pursuing God through drugs". These pictures tell it all, but I was too blind to see.
The "Hippie Years" just prior to starting a business and re-joining the middle class. From left to right: a “wedding photo” taken outside our Raleigh apartment, trying to be cool in Boston, with newborn son Stefan in Morehead City, and Alisha, whose arrival brought an end to our freewheeling ways. Even we could see by then that it was time to take working for a living more seriously.
